2,559 of Wikipedia’s best articles are ‘featured articles’. It’s these that Rob Matthews decided to press ‘cntrl + p’ on and print out (probably at work). The result is this weighty tome of some 5000 pages. I believe his piece was to convey that it is only through computers that this amount of information becomes palatable, searchable and essentially useful.

It’s a cold night—we can see our breath—but under the overpass, Nancy’s warm. “I got, like, six blankets here,” she says, laughing and coughing at the same time. The river bubbles. The glow of a streetlamp shines on the water like moonlight. “The river’s peaceful to me,” she says. She’s been homeless now for almost four years, moving from place to place. She says she likes this spot the best, but as the night goes on, she talks about the sacrifices she’s made, the three children she rarely, if ever, sees—a teenager, a 4-year-old, and a 2-year-old. Talking about the children makes Nancy cry—long, low sobs.

Ik weet niet precies waarom, maar ik vind deze video echt fantastisch. Het begint met één kerel die op het gras staat te dansen op een festival. Even later komt er een kerel bij, en dan nog eentje, en daarna komen er steeds meer mensen bij. Letterlijk sprintjes trekkend, om zo snel mogelijk op dat specifieke stukje gras te mee te kunnen dansen.
